Electrode use and maintenance
[precautions]
1. Keep the platinum ring clean.2. After the electrode is used, please clean theelectrode head with clean water and cover theprotective bottle.
3 If dirt and mineral components are attachedto the electrode diaphragm, the sensitivity willbe reduced, and it may not be possible toperform sufficient measurement. Please ensurethat the platinum ring is clean.4. Service life of electrode. it will varydepending on the frequency of use. Generally.please replace the electrode within one year.
[electrode metal ring cleaning]
The platinum sensing ring of a good residualchlorine electrode should always be kept cleanand bright. If the platinum ring of the electrodebecomes rough or covered by pollutants aftermeasurement, please clean it according to thefollowing methods:Inorganic pollution: immerse the electrode in0.1M dilute hydrochloric acid for 15 minutes, gently wipe the platinum ring of the residualchlorine electrode with a cotton swab, andthen clean it with tap water.
Organic or oil pollution: immerse the electrodein tap water with a small amount of detergent(e.g. detergent) and thoroughly clean thesensing surface of the electrode sensor, Gentlywipe the platinum ring of the electrode with acotton swab, and then rinse it with tap water.if the platinum ring of the electrode has formedan oxide film, please polish the sensing surfacemoderately with toothpaste or 1000 mesh finesandpaper, and then clean it with tap water. (asshown in the right figure)The platinum ring is connected with the glass. Please handle it carefully when polishing
