Electrode use and maintenance
A good ORP electrode and its platinum sensing plateshould always be kept clean and bright, if the platinumplate of the electrode becomes rough or covered bypollutants after measurement, it should be cleaned withappropriate solution according to the nature of thepollutants. Please clean it as follows: (for referencel
Contaminants: detergents:Inorganic metal oxide (less than 1m dilute hydrochloricacidOrganic oil and grease thin detergent (weak alkali)Resin: high molecular substance (dilute alcohol, acetone, hexyi ether)Protein blood cell precipitate acidic enzyme solution(such as pepsin)Plgment substances (bleaching solution, hydrogenperoxide)
Inorganic pollution: immerse the electrode in 0.1M dilutehydrochloric acid for 15 minutes, gently wipe theplatinumn sheet of the electrode with a cotton swab, andthen clean it with tap water.Organic matter or oil pollution: immerse the electrode intap water with a small amount of detergent (e.g.detergent),and thoroughly clean the sensing surface ofthe electrode sensor Gently wipe the platinum sheet ofthe electrode with a cotton swab, and then rinse it withtap water. The cleaning is completed. If the platinum sheet of the electrode has formed anoxide film, please polish the sensing surface withtoothpaste or 1000 mesh fine sandpaper, and thenclean it with tap water (as shown on the right)The platinum sheet is connected with the glass. Pleasehandle it carefully when grinding.Service life of the electrode. It will vary depending on thefrequency of use. Generally, please replace the
