The residual chlorine sensor is a state-of-the-art chemical sensor that operates on a constant potential electrolysis basis. It features advanced non-membrane constant voltage sensors, eliminating the need for frequent membrane and reagent replacements. This innovative sensor is composed of a sophisticated three-electrode system. To address the potential fluctuations between the working electrode and the counter electrode that can increase measurement errors, a reference electrode is incorporated, transforming it into a robust three-electrode system for residual chlorine detection. The potential between the working and reference electrodes is dynamically regulated by the reference electrode potential and a voltage control circuit, ensuring a stable potential difference. This sensor boasts exceptional measurement precision, an extended operational lifespan, and reduced calibration frequency. It finds extensive application in the automatic dosing of circulating water, chlorine management in swimming pools, and precise residual chlorine measurement in applications such as drinking water treatment facilities, distribution networks, recreational pools, and hospital wastewater systems.
